Weather or Not
Title: Weather or Not
Author:
capt_facepalm
Rating: PG
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes (Gaslight ACD)
Characters: Dr John H. Watson, M.D., late of the Army Medical Department, Mr Sherlock Holmes
Summary: A Baker Street vignette
Warning: (none)
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: July 3rd 2019 prompt: Bloody Weather! Include some meteorological elements.
.oOOo.
Since my health forbade me from venturing out unless the weather was exceptionally genial, I had become Baker Street’s de facto resident barometer.
Having activities everyone else took for granted curtailed by fog or a splash of rain was beyond frustrating and Holmes’s flippant attitude towards my plight only worsened my mood.
‘It was just a minor brawl,’ he said as I sutured his cuts. ‘Perhaps you will join me next time.’
When the “next times” included a dog attack, a fall in the Thames, and a crossbow injury, I resolved in the future to accompany Holmes, weather or not.
