Taking the steps two at a time, Sherlock bounded into the sitting room. John’s face fell at the sight of the morning newspaper. Sherlock’s face was plastered all over the tabloid. Again.

‘What? You only have yourself to blame,’ Sherlock smirked. ‘I never asked for a biographer.’

‘Say the word and I’ll shut down the blog.’

‘Ha! You wouldn’t dare. You love the attention.’

‘Not as much as you do. Not anymore. Making it public was a mistake.’

‘Your mistake.’

Of course it was. John shook his head. Any pride he once felt had now been replaced by dread premonitions.
