Dear Holmes,
Despite my earlier reservations, Roy has made himself quite at home. I know all the new sights and smells worried him in the beginning but now he takes everything in his (long) stride. His calm demeanour puts even the most nervous patient at ease. I'd like to take him on home-visits because his sheer size is a deterrent to anyone plotting mischief against my person. There was one such incident and I’ll tell you all about it in Sussex next week.
