Trust me when I say that I am as outraged by this atrocity as you are, but I won’t show it in front of the police, and neither should you. Mercifully, these victims are beyond help. If you must, use your anger to steel your nerves and take a closer look. Your medical expertise could not have saved them but it still could be used to find a clue to the fiend who would do such things. These victims need your trained observation, not your sympathy.’
