Inspector Tobias Gregson returned to his desk trying not to let his anger show. Someone called Watson had written a sensational article about the Lauriston Garden mystery, praising the work of the consultant, Sherlock Holmes, and exposing the shortcomings of the official police investigation. Gregson’s ears were still hot from his meeting with the Chief Inspector.

Admittedly, Sherlock Holmes was a genius, but his cockiness bordered upon insolence. To enlist his help meant having to grin and bear his derision and snide commentary. Gregson still had some pride. He would find this Watson chap and have some words with him.

Good choice! Yes, Gregson and Lestrade were two of Holmes' first clients weren't they?

I almost want to grab some popcorn and see the scene where Gregson confronts Watson.

Yes, Gregson invites Holmes to the Lauriston Gardens murder and it is the first case Watson gets to observe the great detective at work. The scene where Gregson confronts Watson will be full of Gregson's bluster meeting the cold reality that Watson cannot be pushed around by the likes of him!
