‘Blast our luck, Watson. We’re outnumbered and surrounded,’ exclaimed Sherlock Holmes.
‘You know how you are always saying that there is nothing more stimulating than a case where everything goes against you?’ asked Dr Watson, who had risked gunfire and had careened with a thud to Holmes’ side behind a large crate.
‘Yes, Watson—‘ Holmes replied, poking his head around the crate and returning fire with their would-be assassins.
The doctor fished through his coat pocket for more bullets and was surprised when his fingers came away wet and sticky.
‘Then you’re going to love this: I’ve been shot.’
