‘Please, Mrs Greentree, or should I say, Elizabeth Curray, the rouse is up.’
‘It’s a pity you found me out Mr Holmes,’ The lady pointed her revolver at the detective.
‘There’s no need for more violence. Your father was hanged for a crime he didn’t commit. You’ve had your revenge; Lord Asher is dead.’
‘True, but I haven’t spent my life plotting vengeance only to hang as well. No, I’ll be walking away and you aren’t going to stop me.’
‘Won't I?’
‘No,’ she turned the gun on Watson and fired. ‘You will need to tend to your wounded friend.’
