Author: [personal profile] capt_facepalm
Rating: PG
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes (Gaslight ACD)
Characters: Dr John Watson, Mr Sherlock Holmes
Summary: Crime scene investigation
Warning: (Cheating; maybe)
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: July 14th 2023 prompt: (10) 11 random words

.oOOo.

I had to grip the table in order to kneel and see what Mr Sherlock Holmes was gleefully chirping about.

He lent me his excellent lens and then I could clearly see the paint drop. Real blood would have congealed by now.

I have always been fascinated by Holmes’ ability to classify knowledge into facts, rumours, and trivia. He despised those who would bend data to fit their theories as much as he loved to see through a criminal’s attempts at subterfuge and obfuscation.

‘This crime scene has been staged; probably to provide an alibi. Mr Parker’s death occurred elsewhere.’

Supplementary Notes:  I could not use FAX because it would be anachronistic, so I used the homonym FACTS instead. And, to avoid cheating, I rolled one more word GRIP. So ten or eleven random words.

See the following list:
classify, kneel, drop, fascinated, excellent, death, knowledge, paint, bend, fax, grip

Well done…though I expect this was at least 10% easier than normal…only having to find 89 words :-p
