Author:
capt_facepalm
Rating: PG
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes (Gaslight)
Characters: Mr Sherlock Holmes, Dr John H. Watson
Summary: The villain got away
Warnings: (No cats were dampened in the making of this drabble)
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: July 1st prompt: (A picture of two cats sheltering under an umbrella in the rain)
‘Holmes, you shouldn’t have come back for me. I just slipped on the wet pavement.’
‘You fell.’
‘But you let Farleigh get away. What will you tell Lestrade?’
‘It was a bad fall, Doctor. You did not get up and that I had to see if you were all right.’
‘Wonderful. The inspector already thinks I impede your investigations. And this proves him right.’
‘Lestrade has never been right about anything before, and he certainly isn’t now. But, if makes any difference, I'll tell him I came back because you had the only umbrella.’
‘Now that, I’m sure, he’ll believe.’

Date: 2013-07-01 03:03 pm (UTC)I was quick today. You know... eager-like, but also I have the day off and nothing else to do except cut crop circles into my lawn!
This prompt has me wondering if Mycroft's transmogrification device is still working... (Hint! Hint!)
