Fandom: Sherlock Holmes (Gaslight)
Characters: Dr John H. Watson
Summary: It all starts now
Warnings: (none)
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: July 1st 2014 prompt: Danger: Slip/Fall Warning Sign
In the darkness Dr Watson failed to see the blood on the floor. His feet flew out from under him instantly. He reached for the workbench but the rickety thing collapsed on him, trapping him as the shelf overhead slowly shifted; various items sliding inexorably toward him.
Plates shattered.
Bottles burst.
Where had the cobra come from?
Watson woke with a gasp.
The fall had been real. His wrist had been broken. The rest? Either fever or side effects from his fellow-lodger’s apothecary. Four to six weeks, Stamford had said. Watson sighed. It was going to be a long month.

Date: 2014-07-02 12:14 pm (UTC)I had all manner of increasingly improbable and whump-worthy items lined up to fall on Watson. (Including a cannonball for the finale!)
