‘Sherlock?’
‘Not now, John.’
‘Sherlock!’
‘What!’
‘You promised you would give me ample warning and the opportunity to refuse if you ever were to use Mycroft’s Transmogrification Device © (patent pending) on me again.’
‘You also made me promise that I would not wake you up if you had worked a twelve hour shift—‘
‘That does not give you licence to pop me with that thing—‘
‘It’s more of a “ping”, really.’
‘What??’
‘It’s more of a “ping”. The device goes “ping” not “pop”.’
‘THAT IS NOT THE POINT!!!’
‘There you have it, John; this is why I don’t like waking you when you’re overtired. You become tetchy.’
‘You would become tetchy too if someone transmogrified you.’
‘Someone did transmogrify me. I did. See? We are both the same, and now we can investigate the murder of the Queen from the perfect vantage point.’
‘Disguised as bees—‘
‘Technically, transformed—‘
‘Very well. What’s another six hours. Wait, how will I be able to tell you apart from the others?’
‘Quite easily. They are yellow bees with black stripes, whereas I’m a black bee with yellow stripes.’
‘Oh, okay then. Being able to fly is brilliant. How do we get out of the flat?’
‘Through the open window.’
‘What open window? Sherlock Holmes, you put the bumble in bumblebee!’
