‘Doctor, you should be receiving the Albert Medal, not Lestrade.’

‘Really, Holmes, can you not leave it alone?’

‘Absolutely not. It was you who saved that child at great peril to yourself. You even managed to get the Inspector out of the burning building in the process.’

‘How is that any different than you letting him take the credit for the cases you solved for him?’

‘It could have cost you more than the injuries you suffered. What were you thinking, rushing in like that?’

‘One doesn’t think when a child is in trouble. Besides, the Yard needs positive publicity.’

Watson in a burning building? Why yes! (blatant self-promotion for THIS)

Quite right--both of them. This isn't an argument either can win.

Too true. Both Watson and Holmes have honourable reasons for their actions.

Well, yes. It is unfortunate that Holmes is reluctant to see past the danger that Watson placed himself in.
