‘Yes sir.’

‘Well, your record states that you were gravely wounded and pensioned out. There’s nothing wrong with that. Is civilian life not agreeing with you?’

‘Yes. Somewhat…’

‘Have you considered starting a small practice?’

‘I trained as a military surgeon, not a civilian physician.’

‘Medical Officers are still required to ride and the range of motion in your left arm is permanently damaged.’

‘So what you’re telling me is that—‘

‘You're in pretty good shape for the shape you are in.’

Thanks! oddly enough, Dr Seuss was not a big factor in my childhood reading. I had to go to the internet for this quote.
