‘There’s good news and bad news on that front, sir. The tea had not yet been set to steep. Unfortunately it was our only kettle.’

‘Surely you enterprising young officers can improvise something.’

‘We could use Lieutenant Black’s helmet! He was sent home yesterday.’

‘Desperate times call for desperate measures— it’ll need a good scrubbing before we can call Black’s pot a kettle.’
