‘London seems darker and uglier now than when I was a scholar...’

Thanks! I try not to have Wiggins too cheery in his poverty. He is a realist even at a young age. Day to day survival is what he deals with not concentrating on the injustice of his condition. His survival depends on his gang which acts as his family.
