Rating: PG
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes (Gaslight ACD)
Characters: Sherlock Holmes, Dr John Watson
Summary: Watson is awakened in the night
Warnings: (Holmes is OOC, but only slightly)
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: July 30th 2016 prompt: “Why exactly do you need chloroform at 2am?”
‘Why exactly do you need chloroform at 2am, Holmes?’
‘I accidentally used up my supply’
‘Accidentally? You woke me for this?’
‘Yes. Don’t you stock it amongst your medicines.’
‘I do. Are you experimenting?’
‘Yes, I am trying to determine if the chloroform’s flavour can be detected when mixed with strong liquor.’
‘And you tested it on yourself?’
‘That’s absurd. I would never do that. Somehow I managed to spill the contents… and once I awoke I realised the chemist was closed. However, since you’re awake now…’
‘I’m going back to bed.’
‘Two birds with one stone, Doctor?’
‘Get out!’
