Flea Market

'Isn't it funny how the mind works, Watson?' asked my companion as we examined the knick-knacks on the makeshift table.

'How so?' I replied, curious to find out what prompted Holmes out of his morose fog resulting from the acquittal of Thomaš, the poisoner.

'My dear fellow, I have been a fool. All the while I had been searching for a mortar and pestle, the answer may have been a common coffee-grinder.'

'It's too late. Thomaš is a free man.'

'Yes, that is a pity, but at least I now know how he did it!'

Haha - yes, I can see Holmes, like the cat, deriving some satisfaction from just knowing how it was done!

Mathematical minds are like that.

I used to worry that I was being stingy because I'd get upset if I loaned someone money and when they returned it it was a few pennies short (literally, pennies). I finally figured out it was that semi-autistic math brain I got from Dad that just didn't like that it *didn't add up correctly*.

I like all puns but this one that works after you've read the story? That's nice. Very, very, very nice.
