‘Oh Doctor Watson, I’m so glad you could visit. It’s wee Jamie. He’s had a fright, he won’t eat, and now he refuses to sleep in his own bed.’
‘Do you know what happened, Mrs Campbell?’
‘No, but he’s not been the same since his older brother went back to school.’
‘Ah, I see… I’ll talk to him.’
‘So, James, although people’s forms change, it’s a slow process that takes years, and even if a man could turn into a wolf, it would be impossible for him to turn back. Your brother only told you that story to scare you.’
