The Old Bailey's magistrate had pronounced the death sentence when a robed figure appeared beside Inspector Lestrade.
‘Are you here for me?’

The Grim fellow’s gaze fell upon two observers in the public gallery.
‘Not Mr Holmes!’

‘Dr Watson, then?’
IS IT JULY?
‘No, December.’ [1]
I AM HERE FOR THE ACCUSED. HE IS INNOCENT, BY THE WAY.
‘That’s what they all say.’
WHAT IF IT IS TRUE?
‘Then it’s God’s will, right?’

Lestrade woke in a sweat.
