The amalgamate of Holmes' deductive abilities and my medical acumen meant 221B Baker Street was constantly busy but one quiet evening in August, we sat watching the sunset.
'Red sky at night shepherds delight,' I remarked.
'Ah, that old sophism; no correlation has been proved.'
We were interrupted by an impertinent bell.
Leaving the lacuna of my worn armchair, I answered the door.
Our unexpected visitor turned out to be the Reverend Flisk whose dreams of flight raised eyebrows amongst his peers.
I suggested flying was an apposite act of being closer to God.
Holmes shook with paroxysms of laughter.
