'Good. Because they didn't want you back. Is half-pay good enough for you?'

'It's ships. I was sent home on the Orontes. There was a storm... It was bad; very bad.'

'Everyone suffers from mal-de-mer from time to time and HMS Gibraltar is the fleet's newest ship and nothing like that barge Orontes. You'll be fine.'
