The Cave of Caerbannog is locally referred to as the “Maw” and if a person of nefarious purposes set about to lose something, or someone, it was the perfect location.

Such were my circumstances. Lured from the train to Glasgow under false pretenses, I regained consciousness in the complete darkness of a naturally-formed oubliette. Although no bones were broken, I ached all over.

If my whiskers were any indication, I had been gone for three days. Driven by thirst, I licked the seeping rocks. Holmes would have missed me by now, but would he know to search for me here?
