For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to play Rugby, and in my university days in London, I had the opportunity to play for the renowned Blackheath club. When I returned from Afghanistan, my life was total upheaval. Finding suitable lodging, examining my dwindling employment prospects, and above all, my precarious health were my immediate concerns.
It was only after I found a fellow-lodger to share a flat on Baker Street and spent a winter in convalescence, that I came to the realisation that my life was forever changed. And that my new life would not include rugby.
