‘It was a good coat,’ Watson sighed as he examined the bullet holes that ruined his overcoat.
‘I know, and I am sorry for your loss but it did give its life for you,’ Holmes replied, dusting off and handing his colleague his hat.
‘That’s some consolation, I suppose, but next time you need to build a decoy, please use your own clothing.’
‘It did need to be convincing, Old Boy. They were trying to assassinate you, not me.’
‘Why was that, anyway? Did it have to do with one of your cases.’
‘After tonight they are all our cases.
