‘They’re getting away!’ Lestrade cried.
‘There they go!’ exclaimed Holmes, indicating the livery’s passageway. ‘If they get to their carriage, all will be lost!’
Always one to err on the side of caution, I first helped the semi-conscious heir into the fresh air and away from that horrible site.
‘We’ll head them of before they get to the street.’
We ran.
Suddenly the hansom’s left wheel came loose and struck me in the shin. The cab crashed, breaking apart. Already, I could feel a painful weal forming and my sight began to blur.
‘Inspector, cite them for kidnapping!’ ordered Holmes.

Supplementary Notes: Strictly speaking, they're, their, and there are homophones (words that sound the same and are spelled differently), which are a type of homonym, so I've used predominantly homophones for this prompt.
