Brotherly Advice
(Gaslight Canon)
(Gaslight Canon)
‘You should return to him, Sherlock— after all, in exonerating countless Ghazis and the incompetence of the Army Command, he has demonstrated a limitless capacity for forgiveness— surely, he will welcome you back.’
"Of course I haven't read the rules, but if I find out you made up all that psycho-babble about Colonel Mustard's post-traumatic stress preventing him from firing a revolver in the library, I will put something nasty in your porridge tomorrow!"
Purr
(The Great Mouse Detective)
(The Great Mouse Detective)
Even after all these years, Dawson woke to the echo of a tiger's purr.

Date: 2012-02-25 08:58 pm (UTC)I missed the last watchalong for "The Great Mouse Detective", so it's been years since I've seen it and I've forgotten the incident. Poor Dawson.
And for "Brotherly Advice" - Mycroft has a good point. If John could forgive the Army Command for Maiwand, he *has* demonstrated a limitless capacity for forgiveness.

Date: 2012-02-25 10:23 pm (UTC)As for Dawson. That scene did not occur in the movie. In my mind, the mouse equivalent of Maiwand would be a tiger... feasting on the terrified mousies until satiated, and then, in the manner of all cats, continuing to play with the wounded casualties, with a purr of contentment. (This is why I am not allowed to tell bedtime stories!)
And for "Brotherly Advice", Holmes should be hesitant to return because his 'death' hurt Watson badly enough, but the lie would hurt him even more.
I was only going to enter the Cluedo one for the challenge, but then I changed my mind when all three added up to 100 words.
Thanks for the feedback!
