That song. That terrible song! It brought back such horror. Of being helpless, pinned down and forced to listen while the arch-fiend maimed and tortured his truest friend.

John Watson tore the wax disk from the phonograph.

‘John, you’re scaring me—’ Mary had never seen him like this.

‘Where did you get this?’ he demanded.

‘It was among our wedding gifts. There was no card.’

Mary eased the recording from his trembling hands. Her husband was himself again.

‘What does it mean?’ she asked.

‘It means that despite of what Holmes did for us, we are still not safe.’

Indeed!
I could not believe what I was seeing in the film.
But, villains must be vile if the heroes are to face a challenge.

Thanks.
You really should see that movie, but not without caveats.
The good moments are offset with the bad.

The scene makes sense within the rest of the movie. And Game of Shadows makes more sense than the 2009 prequel. Overall, I enjoyed the movie, but there were a couple of scenes I could do without.

When I first saw that scene, I couldn't believe it. Such a horrible situation. But if you want credible villains, they must be evil.

Oh ouch :(

You've conveyed the emotions so well and so in character, and all in 100 words; impressive!
